ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the VP, Talent and Global Functions, the Expert, Learning and Development is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of the company’s learning and development strategy. The person in this role is responsible for identifying and designing development strategies and programs to ensure a deep and diverse talent pipeline.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs the learning and development strategy and ensures global adherence across the organization
  • Designs and enhances the learning vendor approach across the organization with the aim of optimizing efficiencies and leveraging a common approach
  • Designs and delivers corporate global programs including but not limited to: a global coaching and mentoring program, leadership development programs, a manager development program, an onboarding program, a supervisor program and leadership forums
  • Deploys global programs, including project planning, design and execution of said programs for the organization
  • Communicates and manages the corporate suite of programs, including suitability to target audience in line with the global talent strategy and organizational needs
  • Creates and integrates learning and development analytics and metrics into overall corporate talent strategy
  • Acts as the liaison between HR business partners and global services talent advisors with a responsibility to ensure the suitability of BRP’s learning and development strategy and suite of programs
  • Works within frameworks and policies in order to deliver quality advice to the business, consistent with the context and efficiency expectations
  • Works in collaboration with HR business partners and global services talent advisors to embed learning and development practices into established planning and project processes across the organization
  • Perceives changing business needs related to learning and development and reviews the related strategy in line with business needs
  • Assists in the development of training and communication programs aimed at aligning manager and employee activities with performance management practices and organizational goals Understands the global context and ensures BRP’s global learning and development strategy and approach meet business needs

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree in HR, business or a related field
  • Ten years of relevant business and leadership development experience
  • Prior internal consulting and deployment experience
  • Excellent planning, project management, logistics and analytical skills
  • Bilingual (English and French, both written and spoken)
  • Strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy into action
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effective internal consulting and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in leadership and learning development best practices and applications
  • Ability to design and implement a full range of learning and development programs and approaches
  • Pursues innovative solutions to address emerging business challenges
  • Creates a proactive problem-solving environment
  • Fosters an environment of innovative and diverse thinking
  • Integrates a range of organizational perspectives and data
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
