According to Ms. Susan Mastine, 'Andrea Barrie grew up in Richmond, Quebec and has always shown a passion for and a commitment to her hometown'.
An entrepreneur, Andrea chose to open her business, 'Boutique Trillium', in her hometown of Richmond. Andrea has also co-founded the local newsletter 'L'Ardoise', which provides information on town events and the social life of the French and English Communities in Richmond.
Guy-Lin Beaudoin, who nominated Andrea for an award, calls Andrea 'an inspiration for the entire community proving to the young and not so young that one can be successful in one's community by creating one's business, without having to leave the province or renounce to one's roots and heritage'.
